I believe an emotional affair can hurt more than a physical one in some instances. And like you said, with so much access to the outside world via social media, it’s easier than ever to look elsewhere for validation someone might not feel they get in their spouse. It makes it easier to give up on what one has because theirs a sea of people at your fingertips.
