I think so many people put appearances first and live like your friend does. I cannot imagine prioritizing a Starbucks coffee over toilet paper. But, I’ll admit, I’m sort of at the other end of the spectrum. Whether I have money or not, I agonize over spending any of it. It gets exhausting because it’s extreme.
