I’m Sorry For Being a Crappy Medium Friend
I owe you an explanation
It’s hard to believe I haven’t been on here in nearly three months without so much as a hint as to where I went. It was never my intention to ghost Medium. The truth is, I’ve missed you all a lot lately.
Unfortunately, I still need more time away and it’s nothing personal.
Medium has been such a gift in my life. I’ve connect with great people, edited for amazing publication, and found my voice as a writer. But the one drawback of writing on Medium is that it takes away from the very limited time I have to achieve my ultimate goal, which is to become a published author.
In my absence, I’ve been focusing all my energy on my novel. It broke my heart when I realized I couldn’t possibly keep up with Medium without compromising the quality of my writing or my interactions with others while still focusing on this major project of mine.
After seeing the kind comments and mentions from others asking where I’ve been, I know I owe you all an apology along with my explanation. Thank you to those of you who’ve reached out to me. It blew me away that anyone cared enough to check in since I know people come and go on here frequently.
Please know that it hasn’t been easy for me to stay away and I fully intend to come back once this draft of my WIP is complete and I have a little time to breathe.
In the meantime, you’re all in my thoughts.
