It's such a difficult situation. Would I hate someone because they struggle with alcoholism? Of course not. It must be terrible to be trapped in that kind of addiction. But it also doesn't excuse all their actions so if they did something horrific and blamed it solely on their addiction-that's a different story. Either way, it's not black and white and no one should be condemned just because they are battling their demons.
